I’m Seppi, and I’m
running for President.
Six seasons in the WMRRA paddock, and a day job that turns out to be surprisingly good practice for being president of a race club.

I have the skills.
I manage construction projects for a living, working with contracts, budgets, schedules, and a lot of people with strong opinions about all three. The WMRRA presidency demands many of the same things: negotiating track contracts, building a budget for track rental and insurance, coordinating dates with other clubs, leading a board and keeping meetings short. I do this work day in, day out, and I do it well.
I’m already doing the work.
I led the rework of the race schedule, rebalancing class distribution and wave assignments and adding new classes that brought in revenue the club didn’t have before.
I’ll back the WMRRA family.
After six years in this paddock, I’ve learned that the club runs on the people who show up, and right now we’ve got them. My job is to give this group a schedule that works, a budget that holds, and decisions made fairly, openly, and on time.

Race days that run safely and on time
Race day belongs to the Race Director. The President’s job is making sure they don’t have to compromise, with a budget that funds safety properly, and track contracts that don’t force tradeoffs on setup or schedule.

A club on sound financial footing
Two levers: growing participation to bring revenue in, and tough but fair negotiation to keep costs down. I’ll approach a track contract the same way I approach a subcontract.

Real on-ramps to expert racing
Taste of Racing, track day outreach, and the novice program are how the grid gets refilled. They should be funded and staffed like it matters, because in five years they are the club.
